Installation of a 3-phase 600A 4-way 15kV switching cubicle and 2500 kVA transformer for API Critical Medicines.
Project Details
This project included the installation of a 3PH, 600A, 4WAY, 15KV switching cubicle and a 2500 kVA pad mount transformer at 9430 17 AVE. Underground cables were fused and spliced using 200A elbows, connected to customer-installed handholes and bases. HDD boring was performed to install primary ducts with cable details recorded for commissioning and coordination.
Grounding remediation and verification ensured a resistance of less than 6 ohms, with outage coordination and site access scheduled through client contacts.
Outcomes
- Installed 2500 kVA padmount transformer
- HDD installation of 63m of 1-4" PRI duct
- Terminated and fused primary cables using 200A elbows
- Ground remediation to < 6 ohms as per spec
- Included coordination with EPCOR and Syncrude
