Primary electrical service installation and transformer siting for new community infrastructure in Edmonton’s Cameron Heights neighbourhood.
Project Details
This project provided the electrical backbone for the new Cameron Heights Community Centre. Coordinated with EPCOR, the scope included siting and design for a new 3-phase 15kV transformer (37MSB2910-1), 100m of 3-1/C 1/0 AL XLPE cable, and connection from utility service entry to the facility’s main distribution panel. Installation planning involved extensive adherence to EPCOR’s Customer Connection Guide, minimum clearance design from existing infrastructure, guardrails, and secondary cable routing. The transformer and associated conduit layout were confirmed for safe cable pulling and future service access.
Outcomes
Installed 100m of 15kV 3-1/C 1/0 AL XLPE cable for underground primary service
Coordinated with EPCOR to finalize service entry point and transformer clearance
Configured 37MSB2910-1 padmount transformer with guardrail protection
Routed primary/secondary cables with conduit separation and marker placements
Enabled energization of the Cameron Heights Community Centre in compliance with municipal and EPCOR standards
